Born in Greece, I was 8 years old when I was diagnosed with a scoliosis of my spine. I underwent spinal fusion surgery 8 years later and it was during this challenging journey of rehabilitation that I was introduced to the Pilates method. Like so many people, I experienced first hand the incredible benefits of Pilates, and so, after practising for about 11 years, I decided to fully embrace the technique by training to become a teacher. I completed my qualification with Body Control Pilates.

I studied for an Active IQ level 3 Diploma in instructing Pilates Matwork (QCF) REP’s at ‘Body Control Pilates’ in London. This Diploma focused on the fundamentals of the Pilates Method, developing a solid scientific understanding of human anatomy, in order to teach safely any type of client. It has provided the knowledge of how to teach the client the right movement, obeying to the needs of his or her own body and applying at the same time the eight Pilates principles: Concentration, Relaxation, Alignment, Breathing, Centring, Co-ordination, Flowing Movement and Stamina.
Enjoy a series of exercises, called repertoire, against the gravity on the floor. The Pilates repertoire is designed to pay attention to the flow and to the core muscles obeying the human anatomy.
Reformer is one of the famous Pilates machines/apparatus. Discover another Pilates dimension on the reformer as the repertoire is happening on the carriage while pulling, pushing or keeping it steady.

Having passed a long journey of rehabilitation I enjoy training people who want to live a pain free life. I know myself how important is to feel safe through the movement and prevent injuries. The best way to prevent injuries is to increase body awareness at a young age. That’s why I love teaching children. I also adore teaching adults who are at the stage of recovery. I like helping them return to their daily life doing their tasks free from pain. Last, my passion is to teach clients within a corporate environment. It is very full feeling to provide a few minutes of relaxation to hard working people. Relaxation via mobilisation is the best recipe for less stress and muscle strength at the same time.
